The Programme

One programme. Two phases. Six months.

Twelve weeks of live training and career coaching, one session a week. When the teaching ends at week twelve, the internship starts: 3–5 live product projects, with weekly sessions, plus applications and interviews, through to the end of the six months.

Most programmes stop teaching and call it support. This one keeps a standing appointment in your calendar for the full six months, and your mentor a message away until you have the job.

The internship

Teaching ends at week twelve. You then join the internship: 3–5 live product projects. Weekly sessions through to the end of the six months are the internship. Some people land before the teaching finishes.

When you land a job, you get The First 90 Days course to help you settle in, plus on-the-job DM support. If you paid in full and land during the six months, the months still left become that support. Otherwise you get one month. Message your mentor directly with any question as you navigate your first weeks in the role.

Do I need a technical background to join?

No. The program starts from the basics and builds progressively. You need curiosity and commitment, not prior experience in data or coding.

How much time do I need each week?

Around 2 to 4 hours per week during the twelve teaching weeks, including the weekly live session and practice time outside of class. During the internship, plan closer to 4 to 6 hours a week. This is an accelerator. Showing up consistently is what makes it work.

Is an internship included?

Yes. After week twelve you join the internship and complete 3–5 live product projects. The weekly sessions are the internship. If you land before week twelve, you skip it. If you paid in full, remaining months become on-the-job support. Otherwise you get one month of on-the-job DM support.

Do you guarantee I will get a job?

No, and be careful of anyone who does. The Australian market is competitive and the final decision is never ours. What we do guarantee is that job search support does not stop at week twelve. The internship then runs through to the end of the six months, and your direct access to your mentor continues until you land. If you paid in full and land during the six months, the months still left become on-the-job support. Otherwise you get one month of on-the-job DM support.

Why R and not Python?

Because of where you are going. Government, health, research and consulting analytics in Australia run on R. It is the language of the health departments, the biostatistics and epidemiology teams, the research institutes, much of the public service, and the consultancies that serve them. You will also learn SQL and Power BI, which those same employers use alongside it.

What if I have not landed a role in six months?

The internship wraps up at the six month mark, but you do not lose your mentor. Your DM access and the cohort community continue at no extra cost until you land, however long that takes.

What if I landed a job early?

If you land before week twelve, you skip the internship. If you land during the internship, you stop the projects. If you paid in full, the months still left become on-the-job support, with a monthly call and DMs while you settle in. Otherwise you get one month of on-the-job DM support.

Can I message you directly while I am job hunting?

Yes. You get direct DM access to your mentor from day one and it runs until you land, with answers within two business days. If you paid in full and land during the six months, the months still left become on-the-job support. Otherwise you get one month of on-the-job DM support.

When does the internship start?

After week twelve, once the weekly teaching has finished. Weekly sessions from then to the end of the six months are the internship.

What is your refund policy?

Our goal is to support you as much as possible so you land a job, not to spend the conversation on refunds. That is why job search support does not stop at week twelve: the internship then runs through to the end of the six months, and your mentor stays with you until you land. Landing before the six months are up does not open a refund. If you paid in full, those months are delivered as on-the-job support. Otherwise you get one month of on-the-job DM support. Places are capped and your seat is held from the moment you enrol, so fees are not refundable once your cohort begins. If you are unsure whether this is right for you, apply and we will talk it through before you enrol rather than after — we would rather turn someone away than take money from someone we cannot help.

What if I cannot make the next cohort?

Apply anyway. We run cohorts in February, June and October, so the next start date is never far away. We will hold your place for the next available intake that works for you.
